Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do you photograph people and their pets?
A. Yes.  We photograph Pets, People and Products.  We encourage people to have photos with their pets.  For us, it's no different than getting the family portrait with your children.  We just believe our family portraits should include everyone, especially your pets.

Q. Where do you do your photography sessions?
A.  We shoot at our studio location.  Our studio is located in the South Coast Metro Area in Orange County.  Our street address is 4131 S. Main Street, Santa Ana, CA 92707.  We are by appointment only.  We are open to sessions at your location, but due to our props and equipment, we usually scale it down.  We also offer documentary sessions where The Pawtographer will come to your location and spend an hour or two photographing your animal friends in their own environment.

Q. Can we have this done at a location of our choice?
A.  Anything is possible.  However, please understand that so much of what we do, is capable of being done because we have our full range of equipment, props and surrondings.

Q.  Do my animals have to sit and stay to have their portraits taken?
A.  They don't have to sit or stay to have their portraits.  However, to be a part of any of our sets, it is critical they can atleast sit on command.  We never want to rely on technology to make a portrait happen.  Also, we don't want to ever risk injury to a dog.  So it is important to be honest with us about your dog's ability to sit and stay.

Q.  Can I create my own scene or tell you my idea for a scene?
A.  Absolutely.  We love to hear ideas and see if we can create them.

Q.  What does it cost for a session?
A.  The best answer to that is to sign up for our email notification list.  We run events throughout the month where will will pick a theme or two and then shoot those two sets.  This brings the costs down.  Some events are as little as $25 session fee.

Q. What does it cost for prints, blankets, jewelry, purses, pillows and other portrait products?
A. The fees for printing vary dramatically on your intended use.  In other words, a simple print package can be as little as $30, but a 24X30 Canvas print is obviously much more expensive.  The same is true for portrait products.  We have a few different trusted vendors who have a wide price range on their products.

Q.  Why should we come to The Pawtographer™?
A. We the our work speaks for itself.  We are different in so many ways, yet share the same love and excitement for animals you do.  Robert, The Pawtographer, got in to this business because he wanted heirloom portraits of the animals who gave him so much unconditional love.  He didn't see anything he couldn't do himself, so he did it.  Not satisfied with just doing what others had done, he's gone well beyond.  We do natural portraits, but we love going beyond and capturing that special portrait that everyone's friends will love to see and share as well.  Your animal is special, shouldn't your animal's portrait be as well?
